Who we are
Haute Shots is a fashion media platform and podcast covering runway events, designers, models, and the culture around them. This policy explains what we do with information collected through hauteshotspodcast.com and its related subdomains, including the booking and contact landing pages.
It does not cover the third-party platforms where our work also appears — YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook each apply their own privacy policies to what happens there.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Our forms ask only for what we need to reply and to judge whether a project is a fit. Depending on the form, that can include:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your brand, website, or Instagram handle
- Details about your product, collection, or event, and the answers you give to our magazine submission questions
- Anything else you choose to write in a free-text field
Information collected automatically. When you load a page, our host and analytics tools record standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
Campaign attribution. If you arrive from an ad or a tracked link, our forms record the campaign parameters in the URL (such as utm_source and utm_campaign), the page you landed on, and the referring site, so we know which campaigns are working.
We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, government identifiers, payment card numbers, or health information through this site.
How we use information
We use what we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and discuss working together
- Review magazine submissions and decide what to feature editorially
- Deliver, maintain, and secure the site
- Understand which pages and campaigns perform, in aggregate
- Measure our advertising and reach relevant audiences
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share contact details submitted through our forms with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
Advertising and analytics
Meta Pixel. We run advertising through Meta, and the Meta Pixel on this site reports page views and form submissions back to Meta so we can measure campaigns and show ads to relevant audiences. You can manage this through your Meta ad preferences.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns. Google offers a browser opt-out add-on if you would rather not be counted.
Both tools load after the page itself, and neither is used to make automated decisions about you.
Photography, video, and likeness
Much of our work is photography and video captured at fashion shows, industry events, and interviews. Coverage of a public or industry event may include recognisable images of attendees, models, designers, and crew, and that material may be published on this site, on social platforms, in the podcast, and in the magazine.
Where an event organiser or venue has its own filming policy or release, that policy governs the shoot. If you appear in our coverage and want an image or clip reviewed or removed, email Isaac@hauteshotspodcast.com with enough detail to identify it and we will address it in good faith. Note that we may be unable to recall material already redistributed by third parties.
How long we keep information
Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence, and analytics data is kept according to our providers' standard retention windows. Published editorial and photographic work is kept indefinitely as part of the archive. You can ask us to delete your contact details at any time.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion or correction, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising measurement described above.
EEA and UK residents. Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. We process your information on the basis of your consent (where you submit a form), our legitimate interest in running and measuring the site, and compliance with legal obligations. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Global Privacy Control. We honour a GPC signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request where the law requires it.
Security and international transfers
The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy, and access to submissions is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We operate from the United States, and our providers may process data there and in other countries. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., where data protection law may differ from your own.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a professional and general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email Isaac@hauteshotspodcast.com and we will delete it.
Changes and how to reach us
We update this policy when our practices change. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be made clear on this page.
